The Hooker X-pipe is a key component of the overall exhaust system that Hooker manufactures for the Mustang. Its job is to improve exhaust flow and sound by equalizing the exhaust pulses from both cylinder banks. This is performed by the X-crossover, which features smooth transitions for minimal flow interruption.

Note: 2004 Mustangs and Cobras require one pair of oxygen sensor extensions for installation. Ford relocated the rear oxygen sensors in all 2004 Mustangs so the factory wiring harness will not reach the oxygen sensors on any aftermarket mid-pipe. See BBK Oxygen Sensor Extensions below. |
